Be Still and Know that I am God

I am a person of action
Especially when things go wrong I say,
"Don't just stand there, do something!"
Ironically, God suggests,
"Don't do something, stand there!"

Jesus told the apostles
to go to the middle of the lake
when a sudden storm threatened
to capsize their little boat.

Jesus knew they would be in trouble.
He led them there.
He wanted for them to trust and see
how His power delivers us
so we may know that
we have an awesome God!

God is with me,
even in the midst of life's storms.
If I am still enough and use Faith to hang on,
it usually becomes an opportunity
to witness God's power.

I need to know who He is.
