Renewing the Mind
Changes are difficult:
new ideas, new ways of doing things.
Old is much more comfortable than New.
I know Old. I've done Old. I've been Old.
New is risky.
What if I don't like New?
What if New is too hard for me to do, to be?
Maybe I ought to just stick to Old.
But sticking to Old means
having trouble with Christ.
You see, Christ makes things New.
Christ makes people New.
In fact, in Christ,
all things become New.
So if I prefer Old and avoid New,
I might just be missing
Christ's renewed presence in my life.
