Waiting On the Lord

Waiting is difficult. It forces us to
rely on God when our nature is to control.

As Abraham waited on God's promise for a son
till he sired Isaac at age 100;
As David waited for his promised throne
while a fugutive to his own king;
God will keep working in an area in my life
until it is controlled by the Holy Spirit.

I'm still waiting and it's taking forever!
Has God been more concerned with the needs
of others more significant, more spiritual people
than He is with me?

I may not aspire to be a spiritual giant like Moses
or Joseph or Mary with divine assignments.
But one thing is sure: they were ordinary people
whose only qualification was
a heart totally abandoned to the Lord.
God looks upon me with the same love,
interest and concern
as a nursing mother would look upon her infant.
