I am a person of action.
Especially when things go wrong
I say, “Don’t just stand there, do something!”

Ironically, God suggests,
“Don’t do something, stand there!”

Jesus told the apostles to go to the middle of the lake when a sudden storm threatened to capsize their little boat.

Jesus had given them the word: “Let us cross over to the other side.” They also had His presence. By this time the apostles had been witnesses to the feeding of the multitudes and other miracles, yet they were filled with fear, absurdly accusing Jesus of not caring that they would perish! But Jesus was confident they were ready to take on the storm so much so that He was asleep in the stern of the boat!

God is with me, even in the midst of life’s storms. And standing on God’s Word by faith becomes an opportunity to witness God’s power.

And so when the Lord sends me into a seeming conflict, it’s because not only am I designed for victory, I’m ready for victory!

I know I can be still in peace and confident assurance.
