Birthed from the desire to blow glass which is a technology unavailable to me, my work is a personal journey exploring polyester resin and acrylic as alternative media, creating sculpture pieces that communicate the beauty and transparency of glass.

I capture shapes and textures found in nature by creating my own molds, innovating on slumped, crushed, & mosaic glass techniques among others, then manipulating how light bounces around the resulting transparent cast-resin forms.

Whether leaf shapes, venation patterns, trunk textures, or even corals and water surface patterns, I have endeavored to recreate visions of gardens on land or underwater that suggest the abstract before the manifestation, as if to represent the spirit realm, the heavenly vision of what was intended on earth: Heaven on earth!

These transparent sculpture pieces are a metaphor for faith, an invitation to look beyond the apparent.
